A man suffered head injuries after being struck by a vehicle in the city’s east end.
Police were called to the area of Mortimer and Greenwood avenues around 7 a.m. on Tuesday.
The man, believed to be around 60 years old, was found lying unconscious in the middle of the road.
He was conscious and breathing when taken to hospital, police said.
It was initially thought it was a hit-and-run because the driver was not at the scene. However, he reported the incident to police.
Mortimer was closed at Linsmore Crescent while police investigate, but has since reopened.
Another pedestrian was struck on Warden Avenue and Continental Place, north of Ellesmere Road.
The driver called police just after 8:30 a.m. to report the incident.
The man, believed to be in his 50s, suffered a leg injury and was conscious and breathing.
